Dubelyoo Solo Art Show: Convert The wack

Artistic Freedom Through Artists’ Independence

Atlanta, GA – On Saturday, July 2, 2010 Atlanta’s celebrated urban artist Dubelyoo will make his mark on the district of Atlantic Station with the debut of his newest exhibition from his “Convert The Wack” series. One of the most prolific contemporary designers of his generations, Dubelyoo has been a force in bringing urban art to various communities throughout North America; besides being the co-producer of the national traveling multimedia exhibition Art, Beats + Lyrics, he continues to artistically collaborate with companies such as Converse, Pepsi, Konsole Kingz and Sony Playstation to name a few. Under his “Convert The Wack” umbrella, Dubelyoo will unveil his most sensational solo exhibition to date with a pop-up gallery in Atlanta’s Atlantic Station.

Dubelyoo defines his work as “social surveillance,” a visual backdrop for his exploration of the urban aesthetic, and its relationship with politics and pop culture. His visual narrative reflects the independent spirit rooted in hip-hop culture creatively fused with the social commentary of a pop satirist.
